    Invitation from Powell River Tennis Club 

    Vivian Thickett, President of PRTC invites members from CVTC to a social tennis event on Wednesday, July 4th.

    All we have to do is catch the 10 AM ferry to Powell River, no need to bring your car on the ferry, Vivian will arrange to pick all of us up, feed us & take us back to catch the 5 PM ferry back to Comox. 

    Free ferry ride for seniors on July 4th so please bring I.D.

    Inter Club Activities with Arrowsmith Tennis Club (ATC)

    Arrowsmith Tennis Club invited Comox Valley Tennis Club to an interclub fun social tennis day on Wednesday, May 23rd.  The proposed  start time is 10:30 a.m., a lunch break around noon (lunch supplied by ATC), play can continue into the afternoon for those interested.

    Tennis Court Location -- Springwood School in Parksville

    Tennis courts in Lewis Park will be closed for the day on Tuesday April 24.  Parks will be bringing in a contractor to do some assessment work with ground penetrating radar, to evaluate the condition of the ground underneath the courts.

    Notice to the Comox Valley Tennis Club

    We have decided to close High Strung Racquets at the end of November. Bob has decided that he would like to retire (I don't know where he got that idea from).

    We would like to thank members of the Comox Valley Tennis Club (past and present) who have supported us over the many years.

    Stringing services will still be provided on a prearranged basis, details to follow.

    All remaining inventory which includes racquets, shoes, strings, bags and accessories are on sale at clearance prices.

    The shop will be open everyday until November 30th, call 250-338-7162.

    Both Ball Machines, Tennis Tutor and Silent Partner have been repaired and new batteries installed.

    If anyone needs instruction on their use call me.

    Please remember to put them on charge after use and discard any DEAD balls.

    Thank You to Roberta, Janet, Catherine & many other club members helping out on the June 23rd special TGIF. Excellent feedback from Campbell River Club as well as our members. Well done team CVTC.

    Thanks for a successful event last evening. It was a great idea to invite the Campbell River people. We had some fun tennis. And the food was great.
